Aceste\ndescoperiri subliniaz\u0103 importan\u021ba trat\u0103rii acestei afec\u021biuni \u00eentr-un stadiu\nincipient al progresiei, c\u00e2nd celulele afectate pot repara daunele, \u00eenainte s\u0103\nfie \u00eenlocuite de altele noi.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Celulele\nnervoase din creier comunic\u0103 \u00eentre ele prin intermediul fibrelor nervoase, care\nformeaz\u0103 re\u021bele extrem de complexe. Multe fibre nervoase sunt izolate de o\ncarcas\u0103 de mielin\u0103, care contribuie la transmisia cu o vitez\u0103 foarte mare a\nimpulsurilor nervoase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scleroza\nmultipl\u0103 este o boal\u0103 cauzat\u0103 de sistemul imunitar al organismului, care atac\u0103\nmielina \u0219i oligodendrocitele, fapt care duce la deteriorarea transmiterii\nsemnalelor \u00een fibrele nervoase \u0219i la moartea celulelor nervoase, o combina\u021bie\ncare cauzeaz\u0103 tulbur\u0103ri neurologice grave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00cen\ncadrul studiului, oamenii de \u0219tiin\u021b\u0103 au descoperit c\u0103 la pacien\u021bii cu MS nu\nexist\u0103 o regenerare a oligodendrocitelor \u00een zonele \u00een care structura mielinei a\nfost modificat\u0103. \u00cen schimb, se pare c\u0103 oligodendrocite vechi care au\nsupravie\u021buit atacului, sunt capabile s\u0103 formeze mielin\u0103 nou\u0103. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aceste\nnoi descoperiri indic\u0103 importan\u021ba trat\u0103rii sclerozei multiple \u00eentr-un stadiu\nincipient al bolii, pentru a preveni pierderea oligodendrocitelor.
