Ace\u0219tia sper\u0103 ca rezultatele cercet\u0103rii s\u0103 poat\u0103\nfi utilizate \u00een dezvoltarea de tratamente pentru diferite afec\u021biuni, cum ar fi\ncre\u0219terea nivelului de insulin\u0103 \u00een s\u00e2nge, cunoscut\u0103 sub numele de\nhiperinsulinemie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Insulina\neste produs\u0103 \u00een celulele beta ale pancreasului. Hormonul este produs ca un\nprecursor numit proinsulin\u0103. Pentru c\u0103 proinsulina s\u0103 se transforme \u00een insulin\u0103\nfunc\u021bional\u0103, trebuie s\u0103 fie prelucrat\u0103 corect, pentru a ob\u021bine structura\npotrivit\u0103, cu ajutorul proteinelor denumite chaperone. \u00cen cadrul studiilor, cercet\u0103torii\nau identificat un astfel de chaperone, denumit protein\u0103 GRP94. Chiar dac\u0103\nproinsulina are o secven\u021b\u0103 relativ scurt\u0103, are nevoie de ajutor \u00een dob\u00e2ndirea\nstructurii potrivite pentru a deveni insulin\u0103 matur\u0103 func\u021bional\u0103. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eExperimentul\nnostru realizat pe celule vii arat\u0103 c\u0103 proinsulina nu este pliat\u0103 corect \u0219i nu\ndob\u00e2nde\u0219te structura potrivit\u0103 f\u0103r\u0103 ajutorul GRP94\u201d, a afirmat dr. &nbsp;Michal Tomasz Marzec de la Universitatea din\nCopenhaga. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00cen\ncadrul studiului, cercet\u0103torii au inhibat proteina GRP94 pentru a vedea ce se \u00eent\u00e2mpl\u0103\ncu proinsulina \u0219i celulele. Ei au observat c\u0103 proinsulina nu a fost pliat\u0103\ncorect, iar celulele beta nu au secretat cantit\u0103\u021bi suficiente de insulin\u0103. Ace\u0219tia\nau fost surprin\u0219i s\u0103 afle c\u0103 eliminarea GRP94 nu a afectat viabilitatea\ncelulelor.
